Wait, I think this place looks familiar?!? Oh yeah! It’s my good ol’ blog Bag Overflow! I remember this university thing happened. The first few weeks were going swimmingly. I was loving life. All my other friends that went to different universities were crying about the amount of homework they had and I had NONE! That’s right I have absolutely none! ….I know I’m a biology major, what’s your point? What do you mean I have homework? What is this nonsense? It’s true. This week I got hit with a metric fuckton of work, something about a psychology paper due, a biology midterm, chemistry lab, and physics quiz?… But I’m not here to talk homework! I broke away from all of that to finally blog and tell everyone what I’ve been up to!

A couple weeks ago I finally got the achievement that gives my current title: Anslym the Flamebreaker! The achievement I’m talking about this being: Veteran of the Molten Front. I should be getting around to a post about just how to get all those achievements, then again I might not. Patch 4.2 has been out for a while so I would think a lot of people already have this achievement. UNLESS you guys would be in need of a guild for this, then I’m all up for writing one. Might even get me on a well known website…. maybe?
The mount I’m on is indeed a Blue Dragonhawk. I finally managed to get the Mountain O’ Mounts achievement. I even dropped herbalism to get tailoring on Anslym and then I spent around 10,000g getting it to level 425 to make the flying carpet mounts. My last three mounts were Wooly mammoth from Dalaran,(justice points), the black battlestrider (honor points), and finally the mount that got me to 100 was the Red drake from Wyrmrest temple (1,600g). It is currently my go-to flying mount that I use when travelling, it feeds into my unique snowflake syndrome nicely because it’s still a pretty rare mount., or at least I don’t see many of them on my server.

I finally convinced my guild to go do a run of the throne of four winds. They may have had an ulterior purpose of going there. Hard to believe that they wouldn’t be jumping up and down to donate their time to get me my title; turns out that the guild needed the guild achievement from there anyway. Two birds with one stone I’m told. Also continuing on, now that we’re on a server that isn’t dead. We’ve also begun raiding again! I’m thrilled that this happened. We raid Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday nights from 10pm-1am. So far we’re only doing T11 content, nothing in firelands yet. We want to get this group used to the idea of running together. <Bucklers> hasn’t had a full time raiding guild since Wrath, a group managed to retain a few members to get all T11 content down but this was maybe 5-6 consistent people and the rest were just fill-ins. One of main issues we’re having is the fact that this new group is made up of members from the old “Group 1” and “Group 2” so raiding styles have been clashing but nothing we can’t take handle. We plan on striding into Firelands this week and maybe I’ll be able to snag some new shoulders. Running around in the Zulroic shoulders is making me sad. I wish there was a “display shoulder” option like there is for helms and cloaks, but with Transmogrification coming who cares?!?

That’s right I finally finished all the meta achievements for “What a Long, Strange trips it’s been” and I got my very first proto-drake. That’s right you heard me correctly, my very first one! I had 2 level 80’s and towards the end I got a 3rd toon up to 80 in Wrath and not a single proto-drake. Not the green, nor blue, nor red, nor time-lost, nor violet, nor rusty, nor ironbound. The only achievement I was missing was Brew of the Month. Once I got 200 coins I was flying around Dun Morogh on my new mount. Total Mount Tote: 102.
Speaking of Wrath of the Lich King. I managed to get Grygor my restoration/balance druid up to level 75 just a few hour ago. He got that level-up by handing in the quest that requires him to kill the elite bird in the emerald dragonshrine. I have no idea how I managed to solo it, but I think it was something along the lines of: Wrath, Moonfire, Insect swarm, rejuvenate, regrowth, lifebloom till 3 stacks and repeat. The damn bird hits like a truck. My plans are to get him through Northrend this weekend so I can get him started in Hyjal as soon as possible. I would love to get him raid ready for 4.3’s raid finder, which I will be talking about in a future post. My 4.3 post to in accurate.
And finally, what spurred me into writing this post at 1:30 in the morning. I was commuting home and I decided to set up my blog email account on my phone that way if one of you guys emails me I can respond to it quickly instead of it sitting there for 3 months before I remember that I actually have an email address for this place. I set it up and I get all the emails that I left in my inbox when I got them. According to what I remember the last email in there should have been me winning the easter egg hunt challenge. I scroll through the emails and this is what I find:
This is Johnnie from MMOMeltingPot.com. I just thought I’d send you a quick email to let you know that the guys and girls at MMO Melting Pot are regular readers of Bag Overflow, and we’ll be featuring whatever good stuff we come across
Every day we read lots of blogs from all across the MMO blogosphere. We pick out the articles that we think are funny, intelligent, thought-provoking, or simply make good discussion. We feature those articles on our website. We’re trying to reach out to the blogging community a bit more at the moment, which is why I’m contacting you – just to say hi.
I enjoyed your recent review of the Rise Of The Horde novel. I must confess I’ve never read any of the Warcraft novels, but I’m always interested to learn about the lore that’s revealed in them.
You can contact us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), on twitter (@mmomeltingpot) or by commenting on mmomeltingpot.com. Please do let us know when you’ve got a new blog post up (or anything else you think we’d find interesting) just in case we miss the good stuff!
It was just that email that made me realize that there are people that actually look forward to reading what I have to write every now and again and it isn’t just me talking to myself. I know I enjoy reading new posts on blogs such as Orcish Army Knife or Manalicious, and I do sulk a bit when I click those links in my blogroll and find out they haven’t updated in a few days. I suppose the same goes for my blog (No idea why, it’s just me rambling on and on).
TL;DR watch out for Bag Overflow, I’m coming out swinging! And as always, thanks for reading.
